Vivian Lee assisted in transactional matters, including fundraising, equity and business model planning for start-up companies, report of unfair competition violations, and provided legal consultation and contract review for corporate clients after being qualified to practice law in Taiwan. Vivian studied in the financial law division of National Taiwan University and conducted empirical study on haunted house cases during college, led by Professor Shi-Chun Huang, by coding court rulings to analyze judges’ logic for the rationale of their rulings. Based on the result of the above study, she also developed the website, Law & Tech, with her team to predict the result of a dispute related to haunted houses according to previous precedents.
Vivian also researched on the latest laws and regulations in Taiwan, covering the fundraising policy of 2021 Pioneer Stock Board and Taiwan Innovation Board, the issues of restrictions on freedom of expression and the plausible business model in connection with the delisting of a video streaming platform in 2021, and the suspension of the then largest IPO in the world in 2020.
