J.S. (Liz) Lin specializes in the field of intellectual property law, especially copyright and trademark. She feels passionate about entertainment law as well. Before joining Chen & Lin, Liz has worked as an intern in an over-the-counter company as well as Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law. She has experience of handling trademark infringement cases, reviewing copyright contracts and assisting foreign clients in negotiation with a local collective management organization (CMO) involving the copyright royalties.

Since obtaining her bachelor's degree, Liz passed the bar exam. Liz then sought to pursue her master's degree at National Taiwan University, where her thesis is “The Copyright Liability of Illicit Content Provider — A Comparative Study of the United States, European Union and Taiwan”. While pursuing her master's degree, Liz assisted with courses including Copyright Law, Seminar on Artificial Intelligence and Law and Seminar on Intellectual Property Law. Liz also enjoys acquiring up-to-date knowledge from diverse channels. For example, she has attended a summer program of intellectual property law at Bonn University (Germany) on a scholarship aiming to enhance her professional knowledge. Liz aspires to benefit clients with well-trained research skills and solid legal knowledge.
