Profile

Edward is a seasoned litigator, with years of experience in company law, securities law, intellectual property cases involving trade secret, patent, trademark and copyright, arbitration, mediation of public procurement, cross-border dispute resolution, etc.

Edward graduated from National Taiwan University and passed the bar examination with excellent grade. He worked as an intern associate in Baker & McKenzie, Taipei; during this period, Edward had participated, not only in litigations, but also in M&A transactions and public offering filing procedures. After the internship, Edward pursued his studies in New York University School of Law, majoring in corporate law, corporate governance, derivatives and capital market, where he obtained his master degree. Upon his graduation, Edward passed the New York State Bar Examination.

For more than a decade of experience practicing law, the clients Edward primarily serves are Taiwan listed/OTC companies, also many foreign enterprises and law firms due to his English language abilities. To name a few, Edward assisted one of his clients dealing with a complex civil case, coordinating with foreign lawyers of different jurisdictions; represented a local client in an ICC arbitration case, successfully obtaining a favorable award. Not to mention, Edward handled the very first U.S. court case involving in the recognition of Taiwanese arbitral award, assisting the client to enforce the award against the debtor in the U.S.
